Age Group National Team – Identification Camps

In September 2018, Water Polo Canada (WPC) published a communication stating that in order to be identified to Age Group National Teams, all athletes must be part of Regional Development Centres or a Regional Development Strategy in their region. As there is currently no Regional Development Centres in Ontario East, Quebec, and British Columbia, a strategy has been identified for all athletes in these regions. WPC is organizing MANDATORY Regional Development Camps for athletes who wish to be identified for Age Group National Teams. Athletes will be required to register through WPCs Goalline in order to be eligible for selection to WPCs Age Group National Teams. Please see below for more information for each region.

Ontario East – Quebec Day Camps

Women’s Camps

  • March 23rd, 2019
  • April 13th, 2019
  • May 12th, 2019

Men’s Camps :

  • March 24th, 2019
  • April 14th, 2019
  • May 11th, 2019

All day camps to be held from 11:00-17:30 at INS Quebec (Olympic Stadium) and will include two water sessions, and Sport Science sessions.

Athletes MUST attend at least 2 out of 3 camps to be identified.

Cost: $100 for Montreal Residents/$50 for Non-Montreal athletes

British Columbia Camp

Athletes must attend all training session for the Camp weekend

March 15-17, 2019: Schedule and location TBC

Cost: $150 for all athletes

General Information for both regions

All athletes should ensure to pack a proper lunch and snacks.

Athletes should bring:

Bathing suit, towel, goggles, competition suits, sportswear (sneakers, shorts, shirt), mouth guard, notebooks, and water bottles.
