Water Polo Canada’s Tokyo 2020 National Teams Athlete Pool

(Montreal, QC – December 1st, 2019) – Water Polo Canada is pleased to announce the athletes who have been named to the Women’s National Team and Men’s National Team talent pools for the 2020 season and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The Women’s National Team had a very busy competition season, earning their Olympic Qualification by finishing second at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. The athletes are currently training full time and will compete at various events leading up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games. The final selection for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will be announced in the Summer of 2020.

Water Polo Canada also published the Men’s National Team Talent Pool for the 2020 season. The Canadian men just missed qualification at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. They will have another shot at qualifying for Tokyo in the spring of 2020. The identified athletes are currently training in preparation for the Olympic Qualification Tournament to be held March 22-29, 2020 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
