Axelle Crevier has been immersed in water polo since childhood. Her mother, Marie-Claude Deslières, who represented Canada in this sport at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and who was an official at three Olympic Games, introduced her to it at the age of five. Axelle began her career with Club aquatique Water-Polo Montréal inc. (CAMO) alongside her sister and brother, both former water polo players. The two sisters played together on the same club and national teams, while her brother is now the coach of the CAMO, in addition to having managed several youth and junior national teams. As an attacker, Axelle Crevier competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. She won silver at the 2012 Pan American Youth Championship, the 2014 FINA World Youth Championship, and the 2017 FINA World League Super Final. She also contributed to Canada's fourth place finish at the 2017 FINA World Championships and the 2021 FINA World League Super Final. Axelle won two silver medals at the Pan American Championships in Lima in 2019 and in Santiago in 2023. With a bachelor's degree in Sexuality Studies at Concordia University, Axelle wishes to continue her studies in the field of social work.
