Serena Browne comes from a family of athletes. Her mother was a curler who once finished second at national championships. Her father, a football player, represented the University of Colorado, and later played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League. Her sister played basketball in Division 1 in the NCAA for Duquesne University. As for Serena Browne, she was introduced to water polo in 2018, at the age of 14, at an outdoor swimming pool in Pointe-Claire. She says she loves the sport for its competitive nature, as well as for its team and physical aspects. She now plays with Stanford University, with whom she won an NCAA championship in 2023 and is completing her studies in international relations. She won a silver medal at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games. Among her best memories is her Dollard-des-Ormeaux team winning the Canadian Championship League in 2018 in Montreal, and being able to experience it with all her friends, an incredible moment and feeling according to her. Serena is passionate about Formula 1 and cars and would potentially like to work in the green energy sector or in business.
