Water Polo Canada (WPC) uses the brokerage firm of BFL CANADA Risk and Insurance Inc. for its insurance needs and its members are insured with the following companies:

Commercial General Liability & Sport Liability: LLOYD'S of London
Directors’ and Officers’Personal and Entity Liability Insurance: INTACT Insurance Company
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance: CHUBB Insurance Company
Out of Country Medical Insurance (Travel): CHUBB Insurance Company

All WPC registrants are entitled to receive insurance coverage within Canada.  In order to receive coverage, an individual must be registered and active on the online WPC National Registration Database and Event Management System, GOALLINE.
An insured registrant will have insurance coverage when participating in sanctioned events. A sanctioned event must be recorded in the WPC National Registration Database and Event Management System, and approved by the appropriate provincial and/or national organization.  
Certificate Request 
To request copies of insurance certificates please fill out the Certificate of Insurance Request Form and send it to WPC  a minimum of 7 days prior to your event to process your request. If the request is sent less than 7 days prior to the event, WPC cannot guarantee the insurance certificate .
Filing a Claim
In the event of an accident or Chubb Accident Insurance Claim Form must be completed in full to process the claim. The attending physician's and/or dentist's statements must be completed by the medical professional who first saw the insured within 30 days of injury. The claim form must be submitted to WPC within 90 days of the date of the injury regardless of whether expenses have been incurred.All claims must be processed through the WPC office
Out of Province Insurance (Optional)
Teams traveling outside of their province of residence can purchase optional out of province medical insurance at a rate of $1.50/day per person. This insurance will cover expenses that may not be covered under the provincial health insurance plan of the province in which emergency medical assistance is required. In order to receive out-of-province insurance teams need to complete the "Out of Province Medical Insurance Form" and send it to WPC. Insurance must be requested seven (7) days prior to leaving the province. 
International Travel Insurance  
Teams traveling outside of the country can purchase international insurance through WPC at a rate of $3.50/day per person . If a registrant has an existing policy, the WPC international insurance will be secondary to the other policy. If the registrant does not have another policy in place, this WPC international insurance policy will become the primary policy. In order to receive out-of-country additional insurance teams/clubs will need to complete the online International Travel Permit which can be done through the online National Registration Database and Event Management System on the PSO's Goalline site. Insurance must be requested seven (7) days prior to leaving the country.
Day (Short-term) Members
Individuals trying out water polo programs will have insurance coverage as day (or short-term) members. These individuals will have coverage on a one-time basis for fourteen (14) consecutive days from the first day they enter the water. After the trial period is complete, registrants must be registered and active in the WPC National Registration Database and Event Management System in order to receive continued coverage.
In order to receive this coverage, clubs must submit the completed form to WPC.
Day (short-term) members will only receive coverage if the completed form is received within seven (7) days of the completion of the trial period.
