WPC announces Canadian Women's Youth Team for 2022 FINA World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia

dimanche 31 juillet 2022

Montreal, July 31, 2022. Water Polo Canada announces the athletes that will make up the Canadian Women's Team at the Youth World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, August 1-8, 2022.

13 athletes have been selected to represent Canada at this major competition, including some who recently competed at the Junior Pan American Championships in Indianapolis where the Canadian Women's Team placed second. It is with confidence, though aware of the challenge ahead that Head Coach Michel Roy approaches the stay in the Serbian capital:

"Everyone wants to be world champion. We will do our best to achieve this by working hard and giving it all for our country," he said.

The top result of the Canadian women's team at the World Youth Championships was in 2014 in Madrid when Canada won silver.
