Jessica Gaudreault started playing water polo in 2008, at the age of 14, when her family went to watch a friend of her aunt play a game. Jessica's parents signed her up for summer camp right then and there and she hasn't stopped since. In 2012, she contributed to Canada’s fifth place results at the first FINA World Youth Championships. In 2017, she helped Canada win silver at the FINA World League Super Final where she was named Most Valuable Goaltender of the tournament. The Capital Wave Swimming and Water Polo Club representative won silver at the Toronto 2015, Lima 2019 and Santiago 2023 Pan American Games. She was also an alternate on the Canadian Team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. At the university level, Jessica Gaudreault represented Indiana University where she was named to the All-Conference First All-Star Team in 2013, 2014 and 2018. In her last year at the Indiana University, she was named on the All-American NCAA Women’s Water Polo Division 1 Honorable Mention All-Stars team. She completed her studies in chemistry at the Indiana University in 2019. In 2022, she joined the University of Michigan team as a coach, becoming the first woman of Asian-Indian descent to coach in the NCAA. Following her athletic career, she would like to work in health administration. She also says she is relatively creative, particularly in drawing and knitting.
