Water Polo Canada announces final roster for the 2024 World Aquatics Women's U16 Championships

Competition will be held June 28-July 4 in Turkey

Ottawa, June 26, 2024 - Water Polo Canada is proud to present the 15 athletes who will represent the country at the 2024 World Aquatics Women’s U16 Championships, June 28-July 4 in Manisa, Turkey.

The Canadian Team will be in Group B and will play against Zimbabwe Friday, June 28th, at 3:15am (ET) and Greece Saturday, June 29th, at 5:45am (ET), during the preliminary round

“We’re thrilled to be sending a team to these 2024 World Aquatics Women’s U16 World Championships as part of this new pilot program and hope to be able to continue to provide such opportunities to athletes from this age group, moving forward", said Andrew Muir, Water Polo Canada’s Senior Manager of Leagues and Pathway.

Held every two years, the World Aquatics Women’s U16 Championships will showcase athletes who are 16 years old and younger (i.e. born in 2008 or later).

Chad Hogg will also attend the 2024 World Aquatics Women’s U16 Championships as referee.
