  • Registration:
    • All members (PSOs) and registrants (clubs, athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers) must be registered in WPC’s online National Registration and Event Management Database (hereafter simply referred to as RAMP Interactive®). As per the National Registration Policy, "All individual Registrants must register with a Club in their province of residence and the associated PSO in their primary role (athlete, coach, volunteer); however, Registrants whose primary role is official, are not required to associate with a home club".

      • Water Polo Canada Consent Form - completed during the registration process

      • NCCP Diversity and Inclusion in Action (Special Olympics e-Learning Module) - For athletes 14 years of age and older

NCL Team Staff (Team Managers & Team Chaperones)

  • Registration Level:
    • Volunteer or higher
  • Registration:
    • All members (PSOs) and registrants (clubs, athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers) must be registered in WPC’s online National Registration and Event Management Database (hereafter simply referred to as RAMP Interactive®). As per the National Registration Policy, "All individual Registrants must register with a Club in their province of residence and the associated PSO in their primary role (athlete, coach, volunteer); however, Registrants whose primary role is official, are not required to associate with a home club".

NCCP Pathway Summary 

All Multi-Sport Modules are offered by the Provincial/Territorial Coaching Representatives (PTCR). Please click on the links below to view the various PTCR schedules.

Requirement Descriptions

Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation
All NCL coaches must complete the Make Ethical Decisions online evaluation through the Coaches Association of Canada's Locker system. 
 
Making Head Way in Sport (Generic)
All NCL coaches must complete the Making Head Way in Sport (Generic) module (a free NCCP online course on concussions) through the Coaches Association of Canada's Locker system. 
 
Criminal Record Check
All NCL coaches, referees and team staff are required to submit a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to WPC. CRCs must be from May 2021 or later. If you do not already possess a valid CRC, you can have it done externally & upload it into WPC's database system, RAMP Interactive® OR request one through RAMP Interactive®. To complete a CRC through the system, a checkbox will be visible once you select the family member that is being registered. This checkbox states, “I would like to complete an Enhanced Online Police Information Check (Criminal Record Check)”. If selected, you will receive instructions via email on how to complete your CRC online.
 
Safe Sport Training OR Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders Module
All NCL coaches, referees and team staff must complete the Coaches Association of Canada's Safe Sport Training ($0) through the Coaches Association of Canada's Locker system OR the Respect Group Inc.'s Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders ($30). Completion of one of these online modules must be from September 2020 or later and is required once every two years.
 
Diversity and Inclusion in Action
All NCL coaches, referees, team staff and athletes must complete the Diversity and Inclusion in Action Special Olympics e-Learning Module through the Coaches Association of Canada's Locker system. 

Maintenance & Exemptions

Maintenance of Certification
Coaches who have not completed the required 16 Professional Development (PD) points within the four-year maintenance cycle will have their certification status switched to "Certified - Not Renewed". These coaches will not be seen as having met the requirements to coach in the NCL and will receive demerit points until they complete the required number of PD points to rectify their coaching status. Exemptions
Clubs who wish to use a coach who does not meet the coaching requirements laid out above can apply for an exemption. Clubs will have to submit an Exemption Form through RAMPInteractive which will be assessed by WPC, who will determine if the coaching exemption will be allowed on a case by case basis. All exemption requests must be received by December 31, 2022.
