CWPHOF Description

The Canadian Water Polo Hall of Fame (“Hall of Fame”) celebrates the people who make a difference in our sport by recognizing outstanding achievements and supporting excellence through the acknowledgment of exceptional performances and contributions from our athletes, coaches, officials, builders, volunteers, clubs and teams.

The Hall of Fame not only celebrates success but acts as a living history. It is a legacy for future generations to learn from the past in shaping the sport of tomorrow.

Water Polo Canada (WPC) is blessed with a rich tradition of excellence in and out of the water. The Hall of Fame is dedicated to those who have accomplished and given so much to the sport and the organization.

The creation of the Hall of Fame is the result of a long-term effort by David Hart and a group of celebrated Canadian water polo personalities in collaboration with WPC.

The Hall of Fame recognizes the outstanding achievements and contributions of Canadians to the sport of water polo in eight categories:

  • Athletes
  • Coaches
  • Officials
  • Teams
  • Builders
  • Clubs
  • Historical Figures or Historical Teams
